I had the privilege of attending the first-ever Tik Tok Summit held in Jhb, South Africa, representing The Whalley Collective. My key learnings were the transition from the Influencer era to the content creator era, where content is less curated and much more relatable to the everyday experiences of various target audiences but, more importantly, the younger demographic.

Arriving at TWC, I got to work on a confectionery brand where I was responsible for a content strategy that aligned with the brand strategy. My team and I took this brand and made it relatable to the South African audiences by ensuring the incorporation of trendy, youthful and playful experiences into this brand. This strategy saw increased positive sentiments, organically trending on various social media platforms.
